Hedy Yudaw is currently residing in Los Angeles, she has established herself as a professional Background Painter, Background Designer, Vis Dev Artist and Illustrator. Her exceptional skills have led her to work on various renowned shows for major studios such as Warner Bros Animation(Green Eggs and Ham), Green Portal Productions(Rick and Morty), 20th Television Animation(Solar Opposites), Titmouse(Trolls3 Special Feature), Disney TV Animation(Future Worm), Bento Box Entertainment(Krapopolis), ShadowMachine(Final Space), Starburns Industries(HarmonQuest), and Nickelodeon(Shimmer and Shine). Her contributions to these projects have been instrumental in creating visually stunning and immersive worlds.

In addition to her work in the animation industry, Hedy also takes on freelance illustration projects and independent animation ventures. Her versatility as an artist shines through in her specialties, which include 2D background paint, illustration, animation, concept design, color design, and storyboards.

Her passion for indigenous imagery is deeply rooted in her upbringing as a member of the Truku tribe in Taiwan. From a young age, she was captivated by the rich cultural heritage and traditions of her tribe, which inspired her to express her artistic talents through personal art and animation.

Her journey as an artist took a significant turn when she became the first person from her village to pursue a degree in Character Animation at CalArts. This groundbreaking achievement not only showcased her determination but also opened doors for other aspiring artists from her community.

Hedy's unique perspective as a member of the Truku tribe infuses her artwork with a deep appreciation for indigenous culture. Through her art and animation, she strives to bring awareness and celebrate the beauty and diversity of indigenous communities worldwide.
