Hedy Yudaw has a special love for portraying indigenous imagery in her personal art and animation. She grew up as a member of the Truku tribe in Taiwan and was the first from her village to study character animation at CalArts. She went on to receive her MFA in Animation from the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television. Hedy currently lives in Los Angeles where she works as a professional background Artist/Painter on shows for Warner Brothers, Cartoon Network/Adult Swim, TBS, Disney, Nickelodeon, and HBO as well as on freelance illustration and independent animation projects.

Outside of the office, Hedy is an avid animation fans. Her favorite animated movies are The Nightmare Before Christmas, Tekkonkinkreet, How to Train Your Dragon, Spirited Away, Your Name, Parika, Grave of the Fireflies and Akira. She also enjoys reading graphic novels in her spare time from all over well-known comic books.
